A winter wonderland it was not. It was, however, the first snow of the season, and as such, the kids were plenty excited! But what to do when there is barely 1/16th of an inch of crunchy, ice-like substance on the ground? Schmobie and his neighborhood friends had some ideas:
1) Snowbiking. A sport that would only be thought up in Oregon.
2) Sledding. Don't let a lack of snow stop ya!
3) Ice-stomping. Always an under 5 crowd pleaser.
4) Tossing up what little snow that you can gather together into the air.
5) Sipping dairy-free hot cocoa. (A personal fave!)
Despite the freezing weather (27 degrees is dang cold to us!), the older two were out-of-doors all day long as well. I didn't capture any pictures of Cici because she was hanging out at the park with friends.Grumble, grumble, growing up, grumble, independent, grumble, grumble, miss her sometimes...
When Scratch and I first started dating, a roommate of his said we were like "two peas in a pod." We liked that and it became our motto. Seventeen years and three kids later, our motto needed an update.

Radio Heads
Now that the kids are getting older, chauffeuring them around has turned into a war over control of the radio. We all have different tastes, it seems. I usually lose, because my kids CANNOT STAND my station, whereas sometimes I'm actually in the mood for one of theirs. :)
Can you match the person with the radio station? (two people like the same station...)
1. Scratch a. Top 40
2. Jadie b. Classic Rock
3. Cici c. NPR
4. Bugman d. Alternative
5. Schmobie (yes, he has an opinion!)
[Edited to add: look for the answers Tues. night!]
